We’re pleased to bring to Chinley a rip-roaring alt-folk band with roof raising energy, fusing together a mixture of folky footstompin’ rhythms, heartfelt, up-tempo songs and engaging lyricism.

With the fiddle leading the charge, Noble Jacks are out to take no prisoners with their high-energy footstompin’ rhythms, which have taken crowds by storm across the UK.

Noble Jacks have been touring relentlessly. With sold out shows across the UK on their two headline tours in 2018, many months in advance, as well as shows at major festivals including Glastonbury, Isle of Wight and Bestival, including major European festivals.

Noble Jacks second album, Stay Awake, is coming in the Spring of 2019, and the Jacks are embarking on their biggest ever UK headline tour, taking the liveliest show around on the road.

Chinley Christmas Ceilidh: Saturday 1 December 2018

We hope you can join us for our next event; a ceilidh. It will be held at Chinley Women’s Institute, Lower Lane, Chinley, SK23 6BD. Once again, the music will be provided by the local ceilidh band The Barnstormers and they’ll be joined by the renowned local caller Paul Smart.

Tickets are £10 and available from either Parmar’s Newsagents (Lower Lane, Chinley) or wegottickets.com. The ticket price includes a chilli and baked potato supper. There is a bar serving real ale, wine and soft drinks.

Doors open at 7:30pm; first dance is called at 8:00pm.

Our next event will be Le Café Parisien performed by the Andy Lawrenson Trio on Saturday 28 April.

Andy and his trio have just proudly unveiled their new show: LE CAFE PARISIEN is a musical and cultural journey through the streets, cafes and terraces of Europe. Expect to hear Hot Club Swing, Classical Themes, adventure into Romani and Celtic Music, and vintage songs, all delivered with a fresh new twist. A veritable melting pot of astounding musicianship and novel arrangements, all flavoured with a sense of warmth and fun to make for a cracking nights entertainment.

They have just launched their new album MOONGLOW which will be available on the night.
